Chardham Yatra 2023: This time the journey will start from April, know the opening dates of Badrinath & Kedarnath (Source – Amarujala)

Char Dham Yatra 2023 will begin, with the opening of the doors of Yamunotri-Gangotri Dham. Traditionally the doors of Yamunotri-Gangotri Dham are opened on Akshaya Tritiya. This year, Akshaya Tritiya is on 22 April. In January 2023, the Gangotri and Yamunotri Temple Committee will announce the date of opening the doors of both temples.

This year Char Dham Yatra will start in April. Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham temple doors open on January 26 and February 18. On February 18 (Shivratri), the date for opening the doors of Kedarnath Dham in Omkareshwar temple will be fixed.

In 2023, 80 lakh tourists are expected to visit Char Dham Yatra (Source – News18)

SDC Foundation has released a report on the trend of tourists visiting Chardham and other areas in Uttarakhand. The report was mainly prepared based on the number of tourists visiting sites like Char Dham- Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri Dham. The report predicts the number of tourists visiting the region over five years, from 2019 to 2023.

Indian Railways has developed a special Char Dham Yatra package for devotees interested in Char Dham Yatra. Railways have made some changes this time in the Char Dham Yatra. Major cities, as well as other cities, have been added to the change. IRCTC has said in its report, “Passengers travelling to Char Dham can now book their tour packages from every railway station. The government has also launched Panch Kedar Yatra, Winter Char Dham Yatra, and major Char Dham and Chota Char Dham of India are included in the tour package.
