- In the Summer season, the temperature is in the moderate range from 25 to 35 degrees Celsius making it the best time to go on for Char Dham Yatra.
- The gates of the Char Dham temples are also open in the monsoon season but the pilgrimage receives good rainfall during the rainy season. Therefore, it is advised to prepare well with the rain gear if you are planning to visit during the monsoon.
- Char Dham Yatra remains shut during the winter season because of heavy snowfall in the region which blocks access to the temples with temperatures going as low as -15 degrees.
A large number of pilgrims visit the Char Dhams each year making it jam-packed during the peak season. Thus, planning and preparing everything beforehand is crucial to visit during the best time to go on the pilgrimage. Places you will visit in Char Dham Yatra Tour

The Char Dham Yatra, or pilgrimage, is a journey to four sacred locations that are tucked away in the Himalayas: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.
Yamunotri Temple, which honours the goddess Yamuna, is located at a height of roughly 3,291 metres in the western Garhwal Himalayas. You can visit various tourist attractions close to the Yamunotri temple, such as the Surya Kund hot spring in Barkot and the Divya Shila rock pillar, which is worshipped before entering the holy Yamunotri temple.
Both tourists and believers are drawn to Gangotri by its strange and devout vibe. The magnificent temple is a 20-foot-tall white granite building. Other excellent temples in the area are the Bhairavnath and Vishwanath temples, in addition to the Gangotri temple.
“Lord of Kedar Khand ” is what Kedarnath signifies (mountain region). In Kedarnath, Uttarakhand, the Lord Shiva shrine is located close to the Mandakini River (India). If you are travelling to Kedarnath, visiting nearby places like Vasuki Tal Lake, Triyuginarayan Temple, and Guptkashi will make your visit more memorable.
Badrinath Temple, which is devoted to Lord Vishnu, is located close to the Alaknanda River and perched on the Garhwal hill slopes. It houses a Lord Vishnu idol made of black stone. There are 19 tourist spots in Badrinath where tourists can spend their leisure time, such as Pandukeshwar, Mana Village, charan paduka, Mata Murti Temple, Narad Kund and many more.
