For rafting, one has to come to our office in Laxman Jhula, Rishikesh. From there, we’ll take you to the rafting starting point. And after a short briefing, you’ll raft down on river Ganga as per your selected rafting package. In this rafting stretch, you’ll sail for 9 km down from Brahmapuri to Rishikesh. It is the shortest rafting stretch and will take around 1:30 hours to finish. Important Things to Know for rafting in Rishikesh:

  1. Wear comfortable clothes to enjoy rafting at fullest. Both men & women can wear T-shirts and trousers / shorts with sandals.
  2. Carry an additional pair of clothes.
  3. It is recommended to carry sunscreen, sunglasses, towel and basic first-aid kit
  4. Non- Swimmer are allowed to participate in this trip.
  5. Additional charges will be there for any videography and photography.
  6. The activity can get postponed due to weather conditions or rise in water level on Ganga river. An alternate schedule will be provided for the same as per your discretion.
  7. It  is a group activity. One raft can carry 8 adults. So, other individuals may join you on the same trip.
  8. Rafting is a time bound activity so customers are requested to present at least 20 minutes before starting time. 

Safety Guideline for Rafting in Rishikesh packages:

  • Wear your helmet and life jackets throughout the rafting trip.
  • Ask any doubts you have before starting the trip from the on-ground team.
  • Follow all the guidelines advised by your rafting guide.
  • If you fell in the water, don't worry, PFD jackets will keep you afloat on water. And the guide will help you to get back on the raft.
  • Do not consume any kind of alcoholic beverages before water rafting.
  • 14 years is the minimum age to participate in river rafting.
  • Medically unfit, pregnant ladies and older people are not advised to do Rafting.

Booking Terms

To book this trip you’ve to pay 40% of the total booking amount. After which you’ll receive a confirmation shortly. Rest amount has to be paid on arrival day before starting the mentioned trip.

Cancellation Terms

  1. If cancellations are made within 30 days or prior, no cancellation charges will be deducted from the booking amount.
  2. If cancellations are made between 30-15 days, 50% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fee.
  3. If cancellations are made in less than 7 days, 100% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fee.
  4. In the event of ‘No show’, No refund shall be made under any circumstances.

Refund Terms

Once cancelled, any refunds would be processed in original payment method in 10 working day.

Yes, rafting in Rishikesh is fully safe. We have certified operators from Uttararkhand tourism. And experienced guide and instructors who have required expertise to conduct a safe rafting tour.

The trip starting point is in Laxman Jhula, Rishikesh which is 3 km from Rishikesh bus station and 4 km from Railway station. You can take a rickshaw to reach there. Alternatively, cabs are also available.

Children below 14 years are not allowed for river rafting in Rishikesh. And the age limits to participate in rafting are 14-60 years.

Rafting in Rishikesh is available from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm everyday.

Rafting is closed in July and August due to monsoon. It will operate from 15 September 2021.
