Kedarnath Temple is situated at an altitude of about 3,584 meters above sea level. This Dham is considered to be one of the most challenging treks in the Himalayas. Pilgrims going to Kedarnath have to take permission from the government to travel. The government registers every pilgrim keeping in mind the security and facilities. Kedarnath Yatra starts in April-May and the registration process starts during this time.

Here is the step-by-step online guide to doing Kedarnath Yatra Registration:-
Step 1: Visit the registration portal of UTDB, and click on Register!
Step 2: Look at the “Kedarnath Yatra” section. Click on the “Registration” tab and select the “New Registration” option.
Step 3: Enter the required information, like personal, contact details, and others.
Step 4: Upload the required documents like ID proof and one passport-size photograph.
Step 5: Pay the registration fee, which is currently Rs. 150 per person (the fee varies from time to time).
Step 6: Once the registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email with the registration number.
Step 7: Take a printout of the confirmation email and carry it to the base camp (Rishikesh/Gaurikund).
