Best Time to Visit Andaman

From April to June, the summer season is considered the best time to visit Andaman. During this period, you can partake in various water activities to explore abundant marine life. On the other hand, the monsoon season, lasting from July to September, is not recommended for water activities due to unpredictable water levels. Finally, the winter season, spanning from October to March, provides a pleasant climate for visitors to enjoy their Andaman experience.

Andaman in Summer (April to June)

April to June is the summer season in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. If you visit Andaman during the summer, you can experience 24 to 37 degrees Celsius temperatures. You will be facing a bit of a humid, hot, and sultry climate in these months. But the soothing sea breeze, lush greenery around, and the comforting breeze make these months everyone’s favourite. Sunbathing is the favourite activity for beach lovers to enjoy in Andaman during summer. Radhangar Beach, Ross and smith island, havelock island, Baratang Island, Laxman Pur Beach, Neil Island, Wandoor Beach, etc., are just some of the amazing places to enjoy a memorable time in Andaman and Nicobar Islands from April to June. During the summer, the water levels are under control in Andaman, making it the best season for underwater sports. Activities such as Scuba diving, Snorkeling, Kayaking, Surfing, Jet Skiing, Banana Boat Ride, Paragliding, Parasailing, etc, are available in Andaman during these months. The temperature drops down to 24 degrees during the night, as the nights are comparatively cooler than days here. Andaman In Monsoon (July - September)

July to September is the Monsoon Season in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. July is the month that marks the beginning of rain in Andaman, and September is the month marking the end of it. It is one of the two seasons experienced in Andaman. The temperature usually varies from 22 to 35 degrees Celsius during monsoons here. Andaman receives a huge amount of rainfall during monsoons. Some people can love these rainfalls and cannot be liked by others. If you wish to enjoy underwater sports, plan your trip to Andaman carefully, as one cannot enjoy any kind of water-related activities during the monsoon season here because of the unmanageable water levels and various risks. Activities such as Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Banana Boat Ride, Jet Skiing, Surfing, etc are suspended during the season. You won’t be able to participate in and enjoy outdoor activities, a major disadvantage of monsoons here. Rains also affect the transportation facilities in Andaman during these months. Winter is another best time to visit Andaman and Nicobar than summer. The climate stays pleasant, and the temperature ranges from 20 Degrees Celsius to 30 Degrees Celsius. You won’t be experiencing any kind of strict winters and winter chills during these months here. After the end of Monsoons, this season marks the re-opening of exciting water-related activities. Port Blair, Havelock Island, Diglipur Island, Baratang Island, Neil Island, Ross and Smith Island, Cinque Island, Radhanagar Beach, Little Andaman Island, Long Island, etc., are some places you can visit and enjoy. This season is also perfect for anyone looking for a less crowded place to enjoy tranquillity and peace. Honeymooners find winter the best season for spending a romantic time with their better halves due to fewer tourists and lower prices of hotels and activities than usual. The Film Festival held here in November, and the Annual Tourism Festival celebrated here in January are also the highlights of the winter season in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
