Char Dham Yatra Package for Senior Citizens : Itinerary

Day 1: Haridwar to Barkot [215 km / 7 hr] 

Your char Dham yatra will start from Haridwar. Day one would mark traveling to Barkot from Haridwar, around 215km, which would take 6-7 hours. Reach Barkot by the end of day one and enjoy an overnight stay in your hotel there.

Day 2: Barkot to Yamunotri trek

The next day would be going to Yamunotri from Barkot. You will be transferred to Janki Chatti by a car ride (45km). Begin your 6 km Trek for Yamunotri from Janki Chatti and visit the temple of Goddess Yamuna there. After visiting the temple, trek back to Janki Chatti and get back to your hotel at Barkot from there. Enjoy another overnight stay at Barkot. 

Day 3: Barkot to Uttarkashi (100 km / 5 hour)

Enjoy another beautiful morning breakfast in Barkot. Get ready to leave for Uttarkashi, which would take around 4-5 hours. After reaching Uttarkashi, check in to your hotel and visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in the evening. Have a nice dinner at your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Uttarkashi. 

Day 4: Uttarkashi to Gangotri (100 km / 5 hour)

Day 4 would be a visit to Gangotri. After breakfast at your hotel:

  1. Leave for Gangotri (around 4-5 hours).
  2. Worship goddess Ganga and take holy dips in the Ganga river after reaching there.
  3. Travel back to your hotel in Uttarkashi and rest in an overnight stay there.

Day 5: Uttarkashi to Phata (270 km / 8 hr)

Have your breakfast in Uttarkashi and leave for Phata. This would be a long ride of 10 hrs (approx). You can also pay a visit to Kashi Vishwanath and Ardhanarishvara Temple on your way to Phata. Check into your hotel at Phata by the end of the day, and rest in a comfortable overnight stay there.

Day 6: Phata to Gaurikund – Gaurikund to Kedarnath – Return

Day 6 would be going to Kedarnath. Leave your Phata hotel and reach Gaurikund by a short drive. You can hire a mule or doli to get to the Kedarnath temple or if you wish, trek. Complete your Kedarnath Temple darshan and head back towards Gaurikund. Drive to Phata from there and rest in an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 7: Phata to Pipalkoti (120 km / 5 hr)

Wake up and enjoy another beautiful morning in Phata while enjoying your breakfast. After a while, get ready to leave for Pipalkoti. This would be a 5-6 hours drive. Reach Pipalkoti by evening and check in to your hotel there. Spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 8: Pipalkoti to Badrinath (80 km / 3 hr)

The next stop in your Char Dham yatra would be Badrinath. Leave for Badrinath via Vishnuprayag on day 8. Check in to your hotel at Badrinath and look forward to attending the evening aarti at Badrinath Temple. After participating in the evening aarti, come back to your hotel, enjoy dinner, and rest during an overnight stay.

Day 9: Badrinath to Rudraprayag (160 km / 6 hr)

Wake up to another beautiful day ahead. You can go for a morning darshan in the Badrinath Temple and get back to your hotel for breakfast. Check out your hotel after breakfast and leave for Rudraprayag. You will drive via Joshimath, allowing you to visit Omkareshwar Temple. Reach Rudraprayag by evening (6-7 hrs) and check in to your hotel. Explore the place if you wish to, or have your dinner and rest in an overnight stay.

Day 10: Rudraprayag to Haridwar (160 km / 6 hour)

Have the last breakfast of your Char Dham yatra and leave for Haridwar. This would be a 6-7 hour-long drive. Drive through Devprayag and visit the Goddess Dhari Devi Temple in Srinagar. On your arrival in Rishikesh, visit the famous Ram Jhula, Lakshman Jhula, Swarg Ashram, Beatles Ashram, and the Triveni Ghat – Maha Ganga Arti. Continuing your drive to Haridwar, reach your destination by night. This would end your peaceful religious Char Dham Yatra with family.

Char Dham Yatra for Senior Citizens: Term & conditions

Booking Term: To book this trip you’ve to pay 40% of the total booking amount. After which you’ll receive a confirmation shortly. Rest amount has to be paid on arrival day before starting the mentioned trip.

Cancellation Terms:

  • If cancellations are made within 30 days or prior, no cancellation charges will be deducted from the booking amount.
  • If cancellations are made between 30-15 days, 50% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fee.
  • If cancellations are made in less than 7 days, 100% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fee.
  • In the event of ‘No show’, No refund shall be made under any circumstances.

Refund Terms: Once cancelled, any refund will be processed in the original mode of payment, which will be credited within 7 to 10 working days.
